Preacher Opening

A note about the 2008 Carolina Men’s Fellowship
Around 650 men attended the 10th Annual Carolina Men’s Fellowship Saturday, March 8. It was a tremendous success.

We are grateful to the Gold Hill Road congregation for the use of their facilities. They have more room than we have, but there was overflow in the foyer and downstairs. Others were standing where ever they could.

Special appreciation goes to all who made this possible, especially our own workers who moved tables and chairs to Ft. Mill, served lunch, and all the other necessary tasks. (We had to take almost all of our tables and chairs and then bring them back and set them up for Sunday.)

The song leaders and speakers were outstanding. The theme, “The Old Jerusalem Gospel” (based on Acts 2), provided fundamental truths regarding New Testament Christianity. We have already heard of baptisms which were encouraged by the messages preached.

CDs and tapes are being made available. Envelopes for ordering are on the foyer table. (Lucky Hunter is managing the orders. So far around 300 CDs have been ordered.) Thanks to Jake Hunter’s studio for making the recordings.)

10th Annual Carolina Men's Fellowship
Saturday, March 8, 2008. 9:00am - 3:00pm.

The purpose of this one-day lectureship is to bring together men from over the Carolinas (and a few other places) to encourage faithfulness as Christian men and steadfastness in the faith.

"The Old Jerusalem Gospel"
Fundamentals from Acts 2

Acts 2, the great day of Pentecost, shows the beginning of the New Testament era, the beginning of redemption in the name of Christ, and the beginning of the church of Christ. No portion of Scripture is more vital to our understanding of the true plan of salvation and of the distinctive position of churches of Christ.

Changed Location
Because of remodeling on our building, the Fellowship will be held this year at the recently enlarged Gold Hill Road Church of Christ, which has more seating. This is off I-77, between Rock Hill and Charlotte near the North Carolina line: Exit 88, turn west, building is on left about 7/10th mile off I-77.

The purpose of this one-day lectureship is to bring together men from over the Carolinas (and a few other places) to encourage faithfulness as Christian men and steadfastness in the faith.

It is hosted by the Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ in Rock Hill, under the oversight of its elders. The goal is strengthening fellowship among brethren who are committed to New Testament Christianity. With singing, prayer and powerful preaching, we rally together to stand for truth and righteousness. Enthusiasm has grown year by year.

Lunch: A barbecue lunch will be provided. There is no charge for the meal or the program.

Friday Night Singing: Congregational singing (men, women, & children) is scheduled for the night before (Friday, March 7), 7:00. This will be at the Charlotte Avenue building. Any arriving on Friday night are urged to join with us in this time of spiritual edification.
